Question:  We are creating multiple stores through the Razorcart Admin console. However, these stores are visible only in the default DNN portal with Portal ID 0.  When we go to a different DNN site, say with Portal ID 1 or 2, and try to access the RazorCart Admin console, it redirects us to the root portal(Portal ID 0) Razorcart Admin console. The point is that on a different DNN sub site/root site (with Portal ID other than 0) we are unable to access the Store ID in the Razor Cart Module settings page.

Please let us know on how we can have different stores on different portals in the same DNN installation?

Answer:  In order to be able to setup your child portals as stores you need to setup a virtual directory in IIS for each child portal.

Update 11/7/17: As of version 1.2.9 you no longer need to setup a virtual directory in IIS for child portals

Which type of license is required for this type of setup.  Single or Enterprise?

Both the single and enterprise license allow you to setup multi store.

So i have a DNN instance - www.abc.com for which i buy a razor cart license.  When i create a child site www.abc.com/def and create a domain name pointer to it called www.myotherstore.com ..  it can also use razor cart with a single license ?

Hi,
You can run multiple child portals using a single license. For example, if your live domain name is mywebsite.com then you are able to use the module on the following domain Urls using a single license:

www.mywebsite.com
mywebsite.com
test.mywebsite.comup
dev.mywebsite.com
mywebsite.com/childportal1
mywebsite.com/childportal2
mywebsite.com/childportal3

If you point a different top level domain (tld) to the child portal it's no longer considered a child portal. So if you point dns for a different tld www.myotherstore.com then it's no longer a child portal and will require another license. Each unique tld requires a license.

Here is a link to our license policy:
