I am using the new Elavon gateway. When I go to checkout to enter the credit card number, the site does NOT transition to https. I believe that it used to transition to SSL when I had the "Manual" gateway selected.

Also, when in the Orders and Payments manager, the site does NOT transition to SSL either. Considering that it is showing my clients CC numbers, I kind of expect that to go to SSL. In fact, the entire admin section could be SSL, but especially Clients, Orders and Payments.

In the Admin / Site page, "SSL Enabled?" is checked.

In addition to configuring SSL in the admin site settings you need to navigate to the page that has the buynow module on it and go into the settings for the page and under advanced settings check the box titled "Secure". Now when you navigate to the page with the buynow module on it will automatically be using https.

See the following forum post for complete instructions on setting up ssl for the cart

So the entire cart and all product views have to be secure? OK, if that's the cost of using the module.
