I recently downloaded and installed the trial for SmithCart (version 4.26) and when I was ready to buy and license, I noticed that the version sent to me was 4.24. Since I had encountered some odd issues during set up of the store, I thought I'd uninstall the 4.26 trial and then install the 4.24 version and apply my license.

When I went to uninstall the BuyNow module, it gave me errors. I now can't reinstall either version.

Can someone email me so we can work this out?

Thanks,
Jeremy

PS- Can you try to make sure that the documentation, trial and purchase versions match? When I last checked, the documentation was 4.27, trial was 4.26, purchase is 4.24.

Hi Jeremy,
I will have one of the programers check the uninstall string. In order to do a clean install please follow the directions in this forum post.
http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forums/forumid/13/threadid/3555/scope/posts.aspx

Also, all of the documentation and products have been updated to v.4.27

I tried following the instructions on the post, but I am not skilled at SQL manipulation, so I couldn't get that step to work. If someone could provide me a more foolproof version of the command to clean out the database tables, that would be great.

Why doesn't the store have this as part of the uninstall? Is that not feasible? Or is that not a possibility with DNN? I am curious as I am relatively new to DNN and have no idea about module coding.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Jeremy,

Which step are you having trouble with?

The part I am having trouble with is the "Confirm that all stored procs and tables with a prefix of smith in your database are deleted" step. I don't have easy access to the database, so I have to access via the DNN SQL tool. So I need a clean and accurate procedure to run and I was having problems with the one that was posted by Guy Lister. I am not sure, but I think I wasn't able to tell the procedure what DeleteObjects was supposed to do.

Thanks for the help.

Jeremy,

I talked to Dave, and he said he talked to you earlier regarding your SQL Manegment Studio. He said you are working on getting SQL Manegment Studio installed, let me know ifyou want us to generate the drop scripts for the SmithCart tables and store procs.

Thanks,
Kevin
