Is there any way to export the products database for the current version of the DNN SmithCart module?  Given the problems I have had in getting Product level shipping to work, I am thinking about un-installing SmithCart entirely and then re-installing it.  However, I would prefer not to have to re-enter all of the products by hand, so I was wondering if there was any way to preserve the products during this process i.e. exporting them out so that they could be imported back in to the new installation...

Thanks,

Shaune

I'll second that request... I had a timeout when trying to upgrade and wrecked by installation. I essentially had to delete everything and start all over and enter in all products by hand. It would have been nice to have been able to export them first. Now, I am scared to death to do any kind of upgrade.

Please see the following forum post for instructions on how to backup your data and restore it when doing a clean install:

For those of us that are hosted by a 3rd party, it's a little more difficult.  You either need to have direct access to your SQL Server over the internet (not advisable as it should be behind a firewall) or you have to backup SQL, download backup, restore locally, do the export...  To re-import you would have to backup your local server, upload the backup to your hosted environment, and do a DB restore...
