The number of bottles I can fit in a box determines whether I use the Medium vs. Large size USPS Flat Rate Shipping box. How do I configure the shipping so that an order of, lets say 4 bottles defaults to the Medium size, and order of 4 -8 bottle Large size, and perhaps then 2 boxes for over 8 bottles?

The cart shipping calculator sends the "To" and "From" shipping address information and the total weight of the items in the cart to USPS to compute shipping cost. If the total weight of the items of the cart is too heavy for any of the shipping methods they will be excluded from the list. The cart does not have any advanced calculations on how to arrange your items in boxes.
