Before I proceed with my question, I want to say something. I posted a thread only yesterday and I got the solution this morning. You guys are great !! Thanks for the good job you're doing.

I need another favor and I will be so grateful. I need to provide order tracking feature for my e-commerce site where I am using the Smith shopping cart. Is there any way to allow my visitors to track their order without leaving my site?

Thanks again :)

Thanks for the compliment we appreciate it!

Regarding the order tracking do you mean tracking shipments?

There certainly is.

Put the SMith_MyAccount module somewhere your users can get to it. :)

Also, after your order has shipped open the manage order detail screen and update the ship tracking number and the ship date for the order and click save. The “Send Ship Email” button on the order detail screen allows you send a ship confirmation email out to the customer notifying them their order has shipped along with their tracking number and the ship date. Simply click the “Send Ship Email” button and the ship confirmation email will be sent to the customer. For more information about configuring the ship confirmation email tokens see the cart users manual and search for "Ship Email"

So Scott, I have been working with this module, correct me if I am wrong but from what I understand so far, the process is kind of manual? Like I have to check the status from the shipping company and update that on my site? And also send the emails manually? Earlier I was under the impression that the module would automatically check the shipping status from the shipper's website against the tracking number and update it on my site, and buyers would be able to log into my system and check the status of their order. Kindly let me know if you have any feedback.

We are close to rolling out an integration with Atandra's Thub product that does the Fedex, UPS, USPS and QuickBooks integration. Also we have integrated with Endicia that will import your shipping info. Also you can write a scheduled program to import the data from your backend system. What shipping system/carrier are you using?
