For conditional variants:

1) When exposed, the text box conditional variant does not autopostback to update the price. I have added a testBox to product 240V on www9 to show that the regular textbox does automatically post back. The price adjustment on the testBox is $10/unit.

2) The order is not correct when the conditional variant is chosen. The sort order is listed as just below the conditional choice dropdown. The box always shows at the end of all variants.

Non-Conditional Variants:

3) The chosing of color on www9 for product=FREEstanding, does not update the picture as it used to. There are different colored pictures for each of the approximately 30 colors.

We're getting there. Thank you.

Hi Art,

I added a new variant with pictures to product "12N7D-3B 12V 7AH" on the test site and it changes the picture when the variant in the dropdown is changed. I know the test product you setup has conditional variants and on my dev site I have a product with conditional variants setup as well and the pic changes when the selection in the dropdown is changed. I see the product you setup does not change the picture but im not sure what condition or steps in data entry caused this maybe you can shed some light on what data entry steps disable the picture from being changed. Here is a link to the product I setup that is working http://www9.smith-consulting.com/Home...

The Freestanding product does not have conditional variants. It has six different variant groups none of which are conditional. Your test product does not have a base picture for the product when you look at it in the catalog. My base product picture is the same as the first one in the variant drop down menu. This way the picture will not change from the catalog to the detail view. This used to work perfectly.

You also had the "Hide Thumbnail" box checked on the product. That is also unchecked in mine.

In Test:

I unchecked your product's "Hide Thumbnail" box, and added my product picture. When you go to the detail page and click

on the Picture : Pic 1, nothing changes. Choose Pic 2 and it changes.

My steps for creating the variants in your test system:

1) Create the base product with the picture that will be the first one in the picture dropdown list

2) Create all variant groups with the "Manage Variant Groups"

3) Enter all data for each variant group.

3 a) Type in "Sort Order",

3b) select the "Product Variant Group",

3c) leave "Product Variant SKU" blank,

3d) type "Product Variant Name",

3 e) choose "Display Type",

3 f) click "Required" where appropriate,

3 g) enter "Quantity on Hand" even though this never used to be required,

3 h) browse to select "Select Image to Upload",

3 i) type "Price Adjustment",

3 j) type "Weight Adjustment",

3 k) leave the "Conditional Variant Group" on "Select" to mean "blank",

3 L) click "Add new Variant Group".

4) Repeat Step 3 a-L for all 53 variants.

I now copied all of the variants from my product to your test product using the copy variant function. Neither variant that should change pictures, changes any pictures. That is, neither "My Pics" nor "Fabric or Finish" changes the picture.
