How can I create a bundled product that is made up of products of differing quantities?

For example, I want to sell an herb garden kit (bundled product) that contains 4 oregano plants, 3 thyme plants, and 2 rosemary plants. I added multiples of these products to the bundled product list, but when adding the bundled product to a cart, only 1 of each product shows up.

Many thanks.

Hi Fred,

Which version of the Cart and DNN are you currently running?

If you would like to create a bundled product that is made up of products of differing quantities, add the Product to the Bundled Products list as many times as the quantity you wish to include. Each bundled product will be shown as separate line item but the Line Total will reflect the price of the quantity for the products.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply, Kevin.

Adding the product several times works to increase the quantities of bundled items, but there are a few more problems I hope you can help me overcome.

Please see this image: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/20570152/bun...

How can the bundled product cost reflect the final cost of the product once it is added to the cart? The product price on the store page is not accurate; that is, once the product is put in the cart, the price is increased by the bundled products. That seems very confusing: the product price should be fixed and not include the price of bundled items.

How can the quantities of the bundled items be shown in the cart so users understand how many are being purchased?

Bug: When viewing a product with bundled items, if no updates are made and the "Update" button is pressed and then the "Back" button is pressed, all the bundled items are deleted.

SmithCart v5.0.0
DNN v5.6.3

Many thanks!

Hi Fred,

To have the bundled product cost reflect the final cost of all the products in the bundle once it is added to the cart, you can create a new product specifically for the bundle, add the Products included in the bundle, and enable the "Use Primary Product Price & Weight" feature.

Hope this helps!
