Thanks Kevin, that works.

However now when the user hits confirm on the confirm page, they still of course receive a second email which is now a duplicate of the first email. Is there any way to prevent this second email being sent entirely? It's weird behaviour from the customer's point of view - they often think they have made a duplicate payment and phone us.

(Also the confirmation email is missing token labels: Subtotal and Discount are blank, and the [CUSTOMTEXTBOX1] is missing too. But I don't really care about this if we can stop the duplicate email from sending).

Hi Daniel,

You can disable the Special Instuctions feature to prevent the 2nd email from being sent.

Thanks,

Hi Daniel,

I cannot seem to replicate an issue of 2 User Confirmation emails being sent out if Special Instructions have been disabled. Do you possibly have the Third Party CC feature enabled or do you have Product Level Email Templates configured?

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

Your suggestion worked fine for me.

I just have one question.

As using as a custom field in step1, this information is showed everywhere the token [SHIPPINGADDRESS] is used, right?

Is there any way we can edit the information showed in this token [SHIPPINGADDRESS]?

Thanks,

Hi PWM,

If you are using one of the cusom textboxes on Step 1, you can then add the [CUSTOMTEXTBOX1] or [CUSTOMTEXTBOX2] tokens to the Email Confirmation.

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

  • I have unchecked "Show Special Instructions" - I assume this is all that is required to disable special instructions.
  • I do not have 3rd party cc checked.
  • And I do not have any product level email templates either.

I suspect a glitch because when the user clicks "SUBMIT", a second email is sent and this second email has broken tokens (missing the word subtotal, for example).

If you cannot reproduce this, I have sent you a request for a test portal login via your email address.

Regards,

Daniel.

Hi Kevin,

What PWM is saying is that the token [SHIPPIINGADDRESS] is also displaying the CustomTextbox1 text underneath the address. I can confirm this behaviour. Can we edit the token to fix this [SHIPPINGADDRESS] token so that it does not display the CustomTextBox1 text?

Regards,

Daniel.
