The Smith Payment Registration with Authorize.Net payment page checkout is an ideal solution for businesses and websites that do not want to collect, transmit or store sensitive cardholder information to process credit card or echeck (ACH) information. Additionally, the module does not require you to purchase and install a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) digital certificate. This removes the complexity of securely handling and storing cardholder information, simplifying compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

How does the Smith Payment Registration with Authorize.Net payment page work?

Step 1 – On your website the module collects your customers general information first name, last name, address, city, state, zip, phone, email.

Step 2 – On your website a confirmation page is displayed confirming the information that was entered in Step 1.  At the bottom of the confirmation screen the process  payment button.  When the user clicks process payment the Smith Registration will jump to the Authorize.Net payment where the user enters their credit card and billing information.  When the user has entered their billing information at Authorize.Net they click the submit button and Authorize.Net processes their credit card or echeck transaction and displays a receipt page.

Step 3 – On the Authorize.Net receipt page in step 2 the user clicks the Return button and they are taken back to your website where a confirmation page is displayed with their order information.

The Smith Registration with Authorize.Net payment page checkout is a simple and secure method to submit transactions to the Authorize.net Payment Gateway. Merchants using this method have the option to let the gateway handle all the steps in transaction processing, payment data collection, data submission, and response to customer.

 

All credit card and echeck transactions are secure and authenticated using a fingerprint that is uniquely generated for you and included with every request submitted to Authorize.net.  If the fingerprint cannot be validated by Authorize.net, the request will be rejected.  This ensures that only your website can send transactions to Authorize.net using your account and nobody can send fraudulent transactions.
