Hello,

I just got a notice from Authorize.net about them changing their gateway URLs and that I should change to them now instead of waiting until their redirects do the job later. From what I can see, I don't have access to the URLs that SmithCart uses for Authorize.net (AIM) - is that true? I'm using SC 5.68.

They do say that they will start re-directing the existing URLs to the new URLs at a certain point. However, they say that you have to be using domain names and not hard-coded IP addresses. Can you let me/us know 1) if there is any way to change the URLs SC uses and/or 2) will SC continue working if we don't/can't make the changes?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

The Authorize.net gateway URLs are compiled into the Cart's dlls which cannot be edited unless you have source code. According to Authorize.net, they will not start redirecting current URLs to the Akamai network until June 2016. Changing the gateway URLs before Auth.net makes the change is on our dev list for a future release however I cannot confirm if Cart 5.68 will continue to function properly when the URLs are redirected to the new URLs. I would strongly recommend upgrading your Cart to the latest version so that we can fully support any issues that you may have.

We use the domain and not the ip address so your cart should redirect fine after auth.net cuts over. But I also recommend upgrading to the latest cart version just in case.
