Hi all,

I know we can configure the payments to charge a percentage or a fee, but what do you do when you need both.  We use payal and they charge a percentage + a flat rate per transactions (ex. 2.9% + .30).

Any hints, ideas, or suggestions would be most welcomed.

Hi Doug,

I'd be happy to help out but just need some more details about your set up.

Which version of the RegPro module are you currently using?

Which version of DNN are you running on your site?

When you say "We use paypal and they charge a percentage + a flat rate per transactions (ex. 2.9% + .30)", do you mean that you need to apply a percentage plus a flat rate per transaction before getting to PayPal? Or are you referring to the PayPal transaction fees?

Thanks!

Kevin,

Basically we want to pass on the transaction fee that paypal charges us to the client/customer.

Kevin,

I see the functionality.  That said, as a suggestion, you have the options on an OR (i.e. you can have a perentage or a flat fee), both should be an option (i.e. you can have a perentage plus a flat fee...for example Paypal charges a percentage of the transaction, plus a small fee).

Hi Doug,

You are correct, currently the RegPro support the ability to charge a surcharge percent OR flat fee but not both together. This is however a great idea for an enhancement. I will move this post to our Enhancement Requests forum to give others a chance to join your request.

If you would like to team-up with another user, or your company has budget to sponsor this feature enhancement let us know, in most cases we can start work on the new feature within a week.

If you would like to prioritize a feature request to the top of the list do one of the following:
