I am currently developing  a crowd funding module on DNN 7 for a client.
They recently bought  the Smith Cart eCommerce module.
Is there any extension of this module that could facilitate crowd funding ?

To explain my situation:
The client wants to receive crowd funding money for various projects that may exist.
After  a quick analysis of Smith Cart E commerce module  I thought it possible to use it as is for this project.
It would just be a matter of treating products as projects.
I later recognized however, that a major limitation of using it would by an inability to omit price or at  least provide a range for a prices of a product ( or project).

I toyed with  creating multiple product instances for  a crowd funded project where each item represents denominations of sat 5,10 15 dollars that a purchaser ( or contributor) would buy.  This would mean having several instance of the same project treated as unique products where would prove problematic.

So I ask again , is there any possibility of an extension that would facilitate the needs of the client ?

Hi Sean,

It sounds like you may be interested in using the Product Variant features to provide a range for prices by product or you could use the "User Entered Amounts" option which can be set at the Store or Product Level.
