Options:
1. Shipping Calculator

2. Flat Tax States in Taxable States List

The following steps can easily reproduce the problem.  Taxes get set to 0 when clicking the back button on Step 1 of the checkout.

  1. Add Item To Shopping Cart
  2. Enter in any Wisconsin Address.
    1. Janesville, WI 53546
  3. Hit calculate Shipping Button
  4. Taxes Calculate correctly
  5. Hit Proceed to Checkout
  6. On Step 1 of the check out page click the [Back] button

 

 

 

 
  1. Sales Tax 0%
  2. Customers could get around taxes by just clicking the back button

 

So its not charging taxes in the originating state.

Select the package type to use when calculating shipping rates.

   

Max Package Weight (lbs):

Maximum weight of each package. Enter 0 to auto calculate.

Enable Drop Ship Rule:

This checkbox only applies to UPS shipping calculator. When checked and a product in the cart has a zero quantity on hand the cart page will only display the UPS ground ship method and display a message "Overnight shipping is not an option for product xyz". This indicates the product needs to be drop shipped.

   

Combine Shipping Methods:

When checked the cart will fill the dropdown list of shipping methods on the cart screen with the regular shipping methods selected for the carrier (UPS, USPS, FedEx or Canada Post) and custom shipping method(s) defined in the custom shipping methods setup screen.

When checked allows you to set a fixed price for shipping by choosing free shipping above and entering a handling charge.

Charge Handling for Selected Products Only:

To charge handling for selected products only. This checkbox works in conjunction with the “Charge Handling” checkbox in the product setup screen.

Tax Handling:

Check this box to tax handling.

Hi Jon,

We have emailed you and are currently awaiting access information to your site to move forward with your Priority Support. Please confirm you have recieved support's by replying or you can you can email me directly a kevin@smith-consulting.com with the following information:

1. Ftp url, UserID and password
2. Database access that will allow me to access your db from my sql mgmt. studio or a web interface where I can delete stored procedures and run sql scripts. Database url, name, UserID and password
3. Host account access to your portal and url

Or Remote desktop if you have a dedicated server.

You can get items 1 and 2 from your hosting company.

Hi Jon,

Programming started work on this Monday afternoon and are currently working to deliver the fix for you as quick as possible.

I beleive the following post is the thread which contains your prior posts and is regarding a different issue of recalculating the tax after an address has been entered with a State added to the Taxable States list then the Calculate Shipping button being clicked, then clicking the Change Shipping button and entering a different address for another state which is not in the Taxable Sates list, this issue has also been addressed:
